Interestingly enough, the Marti Report that accompanies the truck indicates that only 148 trucks were built in this particular color combination—puzzling, because it’s just beautiful.

Ultra-clean F250 4x4 long bed. Big block 460, great colors, lifetime west coast truck. Nicely maintained, lots of recent work, everything works. Drop-in bed liner, tubular step bars, and alloy wheels. Nice truck that’s ready to work or play.

There was a time when trucks like this were ubiquitous on the highways, but those days are gone. Most were worked to death and tossed away in favor of something new, but the square-jawed F-Series trucks of the 1990s remain some of the most iconic haulers ever built. This handsome F250 presents in factory Emerald Green Metallic, which looks fantastic on the angular sheetmetal. And by 1994, additions like the aero headlights and smooth bumpers knocked off some the rough edges. Delivered new in Snohomish, Washington, it spent the entirety of its life in the Pacific northwest where the roads are thankfully free of salt. As a result, it remains in outstanding condition with a brilliant gloss to the paint and a very clean undercarriage. And as an upscale XLT model, there’s plenty of chrome, a subtle pinstripe that matches the interior, and ‘4x4’ graphics on the bed. You’ll also note a few heavy-duty items befitting a ¾-ton pickup, including the oversized side mirrors, heavy-duty step bumper, and sturdy 16-inch wheels and tires. Interestingly enough, the Marti Report that accompanies the truck indicates that only 148 trucks were built in this particular color combination—puzzling, because it’s just beautiful.

Ford called the light gray cloth interior “Opal Gray” and it features a 40/20/40 split bench with a wide center armrest that’s full of practical storage. It almost looks like a pair of buckets. There’s a rather long list of options including working factory A/C, cruise control, tilt steering column, power windows and locks, and a full set of gauges including a tachometer. There’s also a sliding rear window, which really makes the interior comfortable on days when you don’t quite need the A/C as well as a decent AM/FM/cassette stereo system. You’ll also spot that little switch over by the headlight switch that manages the twin gas tanks, giving even this big block truck bladder-bursting highway range. The upholstery is in excellent shape with the only demerit being a ding in the leather at about 12 o’clock on the steering wheel. Otherwise, it’s far more luxurious and comfortable than you remember.

For power, this big truck uses Ford’s biggest engine: a 460 cubic inch V8. Their top gas-powered mill, it uses Ford’s proven EEC-IV engine management system to make it surprisingly civilized. It starts easily, idles properly, and pulls hard in any gear with just about any load in the bed. With all that torque on tap and a heavy-duty chassis underneath, there’s nothing you can’t move. The engine bay is tidy and completely stock, with conscientious maintenance to keep it healthy over the years. Heavy-duty cooling is on this truck’s options list, so it’s pretty much immune to hot days and the engine bay is so stock even the jack handle is still locked in place on the radiator cradle. The transmission is a sturdy 4-speed automatic spinning a 2-speed transfer case and 4.10/4.11 gears in the pumpkins, making the most of the engine’s torque. The floors and cab corners are completely solid with no issues, the exhaust is still 100% stock, and there are massive disc brakes up front with 4-piston calipers. 16-inch alloy wheels wear 235/85/16 truck radials.

Documentation includes the original owner’s manuals, some service receipts, and the Marti Report.

We have to admit, this is a really good-looking truck. And there’s almost nothing you can’t do with a ¾-ton 4x4 with an 8-foot bed—it’s the most useful tool you’ll ever own. The F-Series of the ‘80s and ‘90s are well on their way to being icons and even though this truck qualifies as a legitimate collector’s item, it’s very easy to live with.
