So if you want a special car that does everything well without the big mark-up of a new one, this gorgeous ragtop deserves a close look.

18,175 miles, one owner. Completely stock except for new Goodyear radials. 2LT package, automatic, nicely documented. Beautiful color combination of Long Beach Red over Kalahari leather. A great value in late-model Corvettes!

Right now there’s no better performance bargain than a lightly used C7 Corvette. Most, like this stunning convertible, have been babied from new and treated as something special. And while the mid-engined C8 might be a little faster, it’s certainly not less expensive. So if you want a special car that does everything well without the big mark-up of a new one, this gorgeous ragtop deserves a close look. It’s had just one owner and has never been a daily driver, so it presents extremely well. In fact, you can probably count the number of times it’s been wet on one hand. Like most Corvettes, it was nice weather only and driven carefully, not tracked or raced, and that really shows. The Long Beach Red paint simply glows in the sunlight, a wonderful deep metallic red that has just a hint of gold underneath—stunning! And the C7 bodywork remains dramatic and attractive even nearly a decade after its introduction—nobody’s going to look at this as anything other than a new Corvette. There are almost zero signs of use, no major nicks or scratches, and the deep shine is evidence that someone loved this car enough to wash and wax it on weekends to keep it looking its best.

The Kalahari leather interior isn’t quite brown or tan, but more of a caramel that’s a sublime partner for the Long Beach Red paint outside. It’s grown-up and sophisticated, and probably not a common choice for a lot of buyers who don’t typically have this kind of vision. It’s in exemplary condition with almost zero wear and the seating surfaces remain supple and supportive. It’s worth noting that this car is loaded with options, including power heated mirrors, heated & ventilated seats, heads-up display, multi-mode performance exhaust, and those grippy suede inserts on the seats. Of course, that’s all in addition to the standard stuff like power windows, locks, and seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and much more. There’s also a great-sounding AM/FM/satellite stereo system that fills even the convertible with sound, and the top is power actuated, stowing itself beneath the rear deck in seconds. Obviously everything works properly and it remains a joy to drive—just keying up the rumbling LT1 is an event. There’s also a good-sized trunk available, which also offers a power release and pull-down and enough space for your gear on a road trip.

The standard 6.2-liter LT1 V8 is no slouch in the performance department, knocking out 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft. of torque thanks to the active performance exhaust. It’s also docile enough for your elderly mother to drive every day and ferocious enough to devour track days. Few cars do everything as well as the C7 Corvette. It remains completely stock, so no questionable aftermarket additions and clearly no abuse. It starts properly, idles nicely, and pulls hard through all eight gears. And speaking of the transmission, it offers paddle shifters for a little more involvement or you just let it do its thing—the computer is faster than you even on your best day, so it’s easy to get the most out of this car. The suspension is supple enough to be all-day comfortable on road trips but offers astounding grip, and Corvette brakes have always been among the best in the world. The undercarriage is ultra-clean and has obviously never seen inclement weather, so no worries there. And with that performance exhaust system, aftermarket systems are unnecessary—it sounds awesome when you open it up and quiets down when you just want to cruise. Nice! And those gorgeous chrome wheels were a $2000 option, but worth every penny because they just sparkle against the Long Beach Red paint. Fresh 245/40/18 front and 285/35/19 rear Goodyear radials have been fitted and offer a substantial improvement over the factory shoes.

Documentation includes the original books and manuals, window sticker, build sheet, and maintenance receipts (which basically amount to a few oil changes).

Beautiful to look at and exciting to drive, this is one of the biggest bargains in our showroom today. No, it’s not a bargain-basement car, but in terms of performance-per-dollar it’s awfully hard to beat. And if the C8 isn’t your thing or you just don’t want to wait a year, this is a fantastic alternative, ready to have fun this summer. Give us a call today!
