From the moment you touch the door handle, you know this car is special.

Incredible pro-touring Coronet called “Killer Bee.” 6.4 liter Mopar Hemi crate motor, 6-speed, coil-over suspension, Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes, and much more. Custom interior with front and rear buckets. Fast, furious, sorted, and ready to rock!

You might remember an over-the-top Viper Green Hemi Charger we sold a few years ago—this stunning Coronet was built by the same guy with the same insane attention to detail. He started with an ultra-clean western car and stripped it to a bare shell to rebuild it from there. The color is a modern take on Top Banana Yellow offered in 1969 with a ton of pearl and metallic in it to make it really glow in the sunlight. The bodywork is exceptionally well done, with laser-straight quarters, even gaps all around, and doors that close with a gentle click instead of a heavy slam. From the moment you touch the door handle, you know this car is special. Up front there’s a steel hood with a custom carbon-fiber wrap to give it a performance look without the carbon-fiber hassles. You’ll also note body-colored bumpers, restored factory grille, custom LED headlights, and a bumblebee stripe designed to match an original Super Bee but which now reads “Killer Bee,” which seems an apt description. Then there are the little things: power mirrors off a late-model Challenger, custom SRT Super Bee emblems with ‘6.4’ callouts, and all-new glass with a subtle tint to give it a clean look. Like we said, the attention to detail on this car is just superb.

The same blend of old and new is visible inside where you get four bucket seats, custom black and gray leather upholstery, and contrasting yellow stitching. It’s just gorgeous. Gray carpets keep it from getting too dark inside, and custom door panels continue the theme while integrating things like the power mirror controls. A wood-rimmed steering wheel warms things up a bit and the factory gauges have been replaced with trick Dakota Digital dials that include extra functions accessed by a button under the dash. Even the ignition system has been cleverly re-engineered, with pushbutton start using the original wiper washer button. Too cool! There’s a custom JVC entertainment system in the center of the dash and Vintage Air A/C and heat were neatly integrated using the original controls and vents. That center console was fabricated just for this car and includes an arm rest as well as the Hurst shifter for the Tremec 6-speed manual gearbox, which was lifted from a low mileage 2015 Dodge Challenger. The console continues into the back seat area, where a second set of buckets from a mid-60s Dodge Charger were fitted for a totally custom look. Custom embroidery, LED lighting, and OEM-style details make this one stand out in a big way. Even the trunk was upholstered with the wiring and battery components cleverly hidden behind bulkheads that match the interior.

The original 318 is long gone, replaced by a modern 6.4 liter HEMI crate motor from Mopar Performance. Using a full Mopar Performance installation kit, it has an OEM look and fits right in the Coronet’s engine bay. Factory functionality remains with fuel injection, distributorless ignition, and all the other technology that makes modern cars so easy to live with—it’s all here. It’s also beautifully detailed under the hood with custom intake covers, lots of polished aluminum, and clean wiring and plumbing that stays mostly out of sight. Up front there’s a massive aluminum radiator with both a puller and a pusher fan to keep the A/C nice and cool, even in traffic, and the inner fender panels were reworked since the coil-over suspension doesn’t need big shock towers. Power rack-and-pinion steering is part of the custom front subframe, which also includes coil-over shocks, upper and lower A-arms, and a pair of giant Wilwood vented disc brakes. Long-tube headers feed a custom stainless exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers, so it sounds spectacular, and it terminates in round tips under the rear bumper that almost look OEM. The rear is a built Dana 60 with 4.10 gears inside, giving the car insane off-the-line punch while the deep overdrive in the transmission makes it a relaxed highway cruiser. Obviously the floors are immaculate and everything has been finished to show standards, with the brilliant yellow floors offering a great background for all the go-fast hardware. Out back there’s a new gas tank with built-in pickup for the EFI, and it sits on gorgeous 17-inch Billet Specialties wheels with a super deep dish out back and staggered 245/45/17 front and 390/40/17 rear performance radials.

Documentation is extensive, including a massive file of receipts and manuals plus the original fender tag. It also includes touch-up paint and a few spare parts.

This is one of those builds that gets everything right. Dramatic looks? Check. Big firepower? Check. OEM drivability and easy maintenance? Check. Comfortable interior with A/C and stereo? Check. And it’s all fully functional, properly sorted, and ready to go. Rarely are high-end resto-mods so easy to live with, but this one just works like it should. And the closer you look, the more you’ll find to like because the attention to detail on this build is extremely impressive. A fastidious build from a talented builder makes this Coronet a killer deal. Call today!
