This absolutely gorgeous 1995 Chevrolet Corvette delivers the full, unfiltered experience that makes these cars special.

Desirable 6-speed manual. 12,374 original miles. Two tops. Beautiful color combination. Nicely documented with receipts. Extremely clean inside and out. Runs and drives very well. A gorgeous Corvette that’s shockingly affordable.

We’ve been wondering for years why the C4 Corvette remains the biggest bang for the buck in the performance world. Sure, it “only” has 300 horsepower compared to the 700+ horsepower monsters they’re building today, but numbers don’t really tell the C4’s story properly. For that, you need to try one on for size and we suspect you’ll find that it fits you quite well indeed. There’s a mechanical directness to the C4 that feels like a performance car should—not isolated, but like you’re right there with the machinery doing your thing. And this absolutely gorgeous 1995 Chevrolet Corvette delivers the full, unfiltered experience that makes these cars special. The paint is called Dark Red Metallic, which, admittedly, isn’t a particularly exciting name but it’s downright beautiful, regardless of the light conditions. It sparkles in the daylight and glows at dusk and makes the Corvette look elegant and mature, not like a cartoon. It’s 100% original paint with no touch-ups and panel fit on the late C4s is shockingly good. This particular car also has the $995 two top option which includes the transparent top shown installed on the car as well as a body-colored solid top that stows neatly in the trunk.

Black leather was an excellent choice with the Dark Red paint and it’s beautifully preserved inside with only minor signs of use on the driver’s seat. Those buckets are as comfortable as they look and once you’ve perfected climbing into a C4, you’ll find this is one of those cars that can eat up hundreds of miles of interstate with effortless ease. Just about everything was standard on the C4, with this one also featuring upgrades like dual power seats, a Delco/Bose entertainment system (the CD player is offline for some reason but everything else works), and the automatic climate control system. The combination digital/analog instrument panel actually works rather well to keep the driver informed and the fat steering wheel feels great in your hands. The 6-speed manual gearbox makes the C4 feel muscular, and while it’s not as light and delicate as something more modern, you’ll take great joy in racking it through the gates as you accelerate. In back, there’s decent cargo capacity (with the spare roof removed, of course) and there are additional little compartments to keep your gear out of sight.

The only engine available in 1995 was the 350 cubic inch (5.7 liter) LT1 V8. Thoroughly revised just a few years earlier, it makes a nice, round 300 horsepower and 330 lb-ft. of torque. Again, those numbers might pale in comparison to today’s Corvettes, but the truth is, the LT1 always feels muscular and there’s a big hit of torque on tap at virtually any speed. The engine makes wonderful mechanical sounds and working with the 6-speed, it’s just a delight on the road. This one remains completely stock, right down to the air cleaner and mufflers, and it has only had two adult owners, so it has definitely lived a good life. The suspension is surprisingly comfortable and Corvette brakes have always been massively powerful. You’ll note that the underside is incredibly clean—we don’t even think it’s been wet in decades. Original markings and decals are still in place, and it shows plenty of evidence of proper care over the years. There's just not much to complain about here. Even the factory 17-inch wheels are unmarked and carry relatively recent Continental radials, 255/45/17s up front and 285/40/17s out back.

This car also comes with nice documentation, including the original window sticker, maintenance receipts, marketing materials, magazines, and original bill of sale.

This is a whole lot of car for the money. Fast, comfortable, stylish, and welcome at virtually any car show, it’s everything that’s great about the Corvette hobby. The 6-speed makes it a lot of fun to drive, and thanks to conscientious ownership, it’s as clean as a 30-year-old car can be. These cars can’t be this cheap forever, so perhaps it’s time to get a good one to enjoy and benefit from a rising market. Call today!
